Lamp on Table
Roy Lichtenstein worked with UAP Polich Tallix to fabricate three-dimensional sculptures that were inspired by his still life paintings. The 1977 sculpture titled Lamp on Table was the first project where the artist used a direct cast technique to fabricate his work. At 6 feet tall, 3 editions of Lamp on Table were meticulously cast in bronze with painted and patinated finishes. UAP Polich Tallix had a successful history of collaboration with Lichtenstein, casting 65 bronze sculptures and 11 large-scale monuments for the artist.
