#Guangzhou Siyou Vanke Center

GUANGZHOU, CHINA

Sitting at the intersection of Guangzhou Avenue and the central axis of the two towers of the Guangzhou Vanke Siyou Centre, an incredible water feature designed by SWA.

A corner of the square water feature gradually rises over 75 steps to 1.4meters above the ground. As the water falls from the high point down the steps, a rippling effect appears and referencing the movement of a dragon boat sailing past while also providing a calming and grounding presence.

Made using stainless-steel, the water feature is integrated seamlessly into the highly architecturally designed site. With a mirror-polished finish, the sculpture reflects its surrounding built environment and echoes the lines and the geometric shapes of the architectural landscape.

Our team in China was engaged by Sushui Design and SWA through the design development, fabrication, and installation. The fabrication and installation process was complex and required the team to be incredibly precise with the placement and welding of the stainless-steel plates to ensure the water feature looked and functioned correctly.
