# Unity and Flock of Fortune

SINGAPORE

Drawing on the movement and forms of the natural world, from water and trees to clouds and earth, Studio Sawada Design creates works that imbue a sense of rhythm, transformation, and organic movement into the built environment. Hirotoshi and Nami Sawada have worked together as Studio Sawada Design since 1994.

Studio Sawada Design created two works, Unity and Flock of Fortune, for the revitalised Great World office lobbies. Our Asia team curated and helped deliver these works, bringing movement, meaning, and a lasting sense of identity to Singapore’s River Valley district.

Commissioned by Allgreen Properties, Unity takes inspiration from the crane, a symbol of fidelity, harmony, and enduring partnership. Formed from reflective aluminium and mesh, two wings embrace one another, transforming the lobbies into a moment of arrival, connection and quiet reflection.

Inspired by the enduring symbolism of the crane, Flock of Fortune celebrates collective ambition, continuity, and shared purpose. The artwork is composed of layered metallic forms that evoke the movement of a flock in flight. Installed in Singapore’s River Valley district within Great World’s office lobbies, the sculpture reflects the heritage and values of the Kuok Group while creating a dynamic sense of movement and arrival.
