Matt W. Moore

Artist Matt W. Moore was selected to revitalise the Murray Street Mall soffit with his signature faceted graphic surface treatments. The optical layer of jewel-like lines and intricate intersections of colour increases the visual appeal of the existing soffit, and creates an inviting experience for pedestrians.

By night the artwork is illuminated to give the Soffit a unique night-time quality and presence. Moore’s concept captures and mirrors back to pedestrians the energy and movement of the Murray Street entry, and embodies a sense of change and evolution as the space transitions from day to night activation.
