#One Vanderbilt

NEW YORK CITY, USA

One Vanderbilt, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), is a 1.6-million-square-foot office building located in midtown Manhattan, overlooking Grand Central Station. UAP was engaged to assist the architects to deliver a suspended, sculptural screen wall within the entry foyer of the development. The design and composition of the wall is thoughtfully integrated with the dramatic angles and classic finishes of the building, while adding lightness and expressing the great vitality of the urban setting.

As the manufacturing partner and design-construct delivery team, UAP worked with the client to explore and assist in the design development, fabrication and installation of the sculpture. The resulting work, crafted in 600 hand textured bronze sheets, creates a powerful visual impact that is elevated through dramatic lighting and visible from many internal and external locations.
