Craig Koomeeta

Craig Koomeeta (Wik Alkan language group), is from Aurukun on western Cape York Peninsula. He began carving at the age of 14, and paints as well. His work is included in many major collections such as the National Gallery of Australia, National Galley of Victoria and the Queensland Art Gallery. This particular cast work was purchased by the University of Queensland Art Museum.
