#Perpetuate

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Brisbane artist Carly Scoufos developed Perpetuate, an intricate, hand-made suspended artwork, for the Macquarie Centre in Northern Sydney. Perpetuate is an extension of Scoufos’ current studio practice, which explores abstract and fleeting moments within natural phenomena and translates these into woven constructions of industrial wire. Scoufos’ delicate design references pockets of fluid air that have been suspended in water and captured in motion as they rise towards the surface. The artwork offers an immersive and captivating experience for shoppers, positioned within a light filled void space adjacent to David Jones, in Centre’s recently developed fashion mall.

This work forms part of a collection of immersive artworks curated and delivered by UAP for the Macquarie Centre under the conceptual vision of ‘Lush Pockets of Art’, creating colour, texture, visual intrigue and a distinct sense of nature throughout the Centre.
