Nicole Eisenman’s nine-figure army of otherworldly characters was conceived for the 2019 Whitney Biennial in New York City. Procession poses questions about disenfranchisement, communities, and protests, creating a thought-provoking contemporary work that epitomizes the Whitney Biennial’s probing and wry history.

Procession was made using bronze, plaster, and fiberglass, in our Rock Tavern foundry.
