#The Cell

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Following his first inflatable work, Jumping Castle War Memorial, Andrew’s second inflatable work titled The Cell was commissioned by the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation. The Cell is a 3 x 12 x 6m inflatable room, adorned inside and out with the Wiradjuri pattern that appears in many of Andrew’s works. In order to enter The Cell, participants are required to also wear the design, with Wiradjuri jumpsuits provided in a variety of colours.

UAP collaborated with Andrew to realise the artwork, undertaking form studies, developing concept sketches and 3D renders, and managing fabrication to ensure adherence to safety standards.
